One bright lantern beats three dim torches. Look at how the light hangs rather than how many lumens it claims: a hook, a
magnet or a retractable pole decides whether it is useful inside a tent. Rechargeable models with a Type-C port save
carrying spare batteries, and a few in this range double as a power bank for a phone.

Cooking at a campsite

A canister stove and a nesting cookware set will handle almost every meal. The fast-boil stove here reaches a litre in around
